There are many albums and EP’s coming out on the 8th of November. One that I highly recommend you check out is the debut from Nashville, TN band Valkyrie’s Fire. It’s epic, it’s fun, it is both familiar and different. Sweeping female operatic vocals complemented by a male singer, soaring guitars with new-classical riffs and some Unleash the Archers-like riffs, and keyboards that harken to Symphony X’s masterpiece V.
It is always a treat to encounter a US band that does a European style better than the Europeans (oh, hi, Seven Kingdoms!) and to my delight Valkyrie’s Fire fit this description

At the beginning of the year, I did a bands to watch list, and Valkyrie's Fire was the first band on my list. Well, I'm doubling down and will say I firmly believe Valkyrie's Fire will become a major band in the symphonic/power metal scene and I'm extremely proud and honored to have witnessed their phenomenal performance last night at The End in Nashville, TN.
